Bilam Lal Shrestha Become Fide Master

Former National Champion Bilamlal Shrestha become second Fide Master,FM of Nepal. World Chess Federation, FIDE awarded the title on 39th Chess Olympaid-Khanty, Russia.

Shrestha beat 2151 rated Matoewi, Roger of Surinam in the last round &  scored 6.5 points out of 9 game . He scored 72.5 % overall. Before him Manish Hamal has got that opportunity on the 38th Chess Olympaid in Dresdan, Germany. Now we have total two fide master's in Nepal.

In other hand Rajesh Hari Joshi, President of NCA elected as the executive board member of Fide. After being the member of Fide NCA president Joshi says:" This Olympaid has been considered a mile stone for the Nepal Chess."
